I have one little girl who I spend most of my spare time doing activities with. I have lived on our family farm all my life, but now have downsized it to a smallholding with sheep and poultry. I am an Advisory member for the Furness Young Farmers club, who enter competitions all around Cumbria.

I started working at WCF in 1974 after leaving school at the age of 16 as a junior office clerk at our Ellel branch near Lancaster. When I’m not at work I love looking after my 2 grandchildren, walking the family dog and cycling.
