WCF Pet and Equestrian have 9 stores across the north of England and the south of Scotland.
At WCF Pet & Equestrian we are passionate about our pets and stock an extensive range of pet, equestrian, smallholding and wild bird food, bedding, supplements, and accessories (collars, leads, toys and much more), with friendly trained staff on hand to offer expert help and advice on product selection and animal health. Footwear (especially wellies and country boots) and gardening ranges are also featured in most stores, with frequent price promotions in all departments.
WCF Pet & Equestrian is renowned for excellent customer service with the vast majority of our staff animal owners and countryside lovers. We are extremely proud of our business and believe that within our stores we offer a unique, relaxed shopping experience with expert advice always available but never imposed.

Jade Earley
General Manager - Commercial, WCF Pet & Equestrian
Jade started working for WCF Pet & Equestrian on the 14th May 2018 as Retail Operations/ Area Manager. More recently taking on the role of General Manager. Prior to working at WCF she worked in multiple sales and retail related businesses and even ran her own retail store business at the age of 19. Outside of work she is a keen runner and regularly participates in races and her local community Parkrun.

Anna Nielsen
Store Manager, Castle Douglas
Anna started with WCF in 1993 as a full-time sales assistant and has seen many changes over the
years as the business progressed from its animal medicine and farming input days through to the pet
and equestrian business we are now. She became manager of the Castle Douglas store in 2006 and is
fortunate enough to have been in the role long enough to see the full refurbishment of the store
during 2017. In her spare time she enjoys training and competing with her Labradors and also enjoys horse riding when she has time. Her passion is animals, especially dogs, and she has
been encouraged to develop this through WCF. Anna is currently expanding her knowledge in the
field of dog behaviour and fitness.

Helen Whiteside
Store Manager, Claughton
I started working at WCF in 1974 after leaving school at the age of 16 as a junior office clerk at our Ellel branch near Lancaster. After 9 1/2 years I left to have my 2 children, but returned in 1987 and moved with the company in 1990 to their current site at Claughton. I have been manager here for over 15 years. When I’m not at work I love looking after my 2 grandchildren, walking the family dog and cycling.

Nicky Mason
Store Manager, Penrith
Nicky Mason is the Manager at the Penrith store, having previously managed the Kendal and Rosehill stores. Prior to that she worked for 21 years in the Wines and Spirits industry as a Business Development Advisor. Outside of work Nicky competes at Agility, Canicross, Flyball and Obedience with her 2 Working Sheepdogs.

Hannah Taylor
Manager, Ulverston
I have worked in three of our WCF stores since starting with WCF, Kendal, Skipton and now Ulverston. I am from a farming background and have a real passion for animals especially dogs. In my spare time I train and trial Sheepdogs, competing up to National level. I have previous retail experience working for FatFace, The Bodyshop and was also a Market Administrator for an Auction Mart.

Sophie Hodgson
Manager, Kendal
Before joining WCF I was a lone worker as a dog groomer in Cockermouth. I started with WCF in July 2017 in the Cockermouth store, after being there for 1.5 years I decided to relocate and move to Kendal where I became Supervisor. My passion is animals, mainly dogs as I have a 7 year old LabX and a 9 month old ShihPoo, who I enjoy taking for walks and buying many toys for!

Lynsey Sessford
Store Manager, Wigton
I have worked for WCF since February 2020 as the Manager of our wigton store.
I have previous retail experience as a Trading Manager for Somerfield and Cooperative.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, anything creative, learning how to (hopefully) grow my own fruits and vegetables and walking my Chug dog, Rocco.

Steph Parker
Manager, Cockermouth
I joined the business in October 2020 as Deputy Manager, before being promoted to Manager in December. Before that I worked as a Sales Executive for Arnold Clark for 3 years, as well as a trading Manager for B&Q for 11 years.
When I am not working, I love going for coffees and long walks in the lakes with my 2 dogs Riley and Bailey, as well as attending to the many chickens and ducks down at my allotment.
